Emily Langdorf

About Me

Who is Ms. Langdorf?  Here’s the low down…

My father was in the Army and we moved around quite a bit when I was younger.  I was always “the new kid” in school!  I was born in Germany and have lived in Georgia, Virginia (Springfield), California, Colorado, Arizona, Virginia (Radford), New York and the Netherlands.  I went to the University of Arizona and studied Elementary Education, and later earned my master’s degree in instructional media.  I taught 4th grade for six years in Tucson, Arizona.  In the summer of 2012, I moved up here to Salt Lake and taught 4th grade for another year before I was promoted to 5th grade (it only took me 7 years!).  This year will be my 13th year teaching.  My favorite subject to teach is math, even though that was my most difficult subject in school.  When I have free time, I enjoy reading and playing the piano and flute.  I also enjoy traveling to visit my family- especially my 8 adorable nephews and nieces.  I don't have any pets, but would love to have a teacup pig someday to carry around in my purse.
